7 Years In a Row: Wisconsin 41, Minnesota 23
For the 7th year in a row, the Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Minnesota Gophers and retained Paul Bunyan's Axe. It was only 14-9 going into halftime, but Wisconsin used a 27 point second half to break the game open. 21 points were unanswered as the Badgers built a 35-9 lead. There was some controvery when head coach Bret Bielema went for a 2 point conversion when they were up 25. Tim Brewster had some choice words for him when they shook hands and expressed his feelings about the decision in his post game press conference. Brewster claimed "It was wrong."
