Minnesota Gophers Split With #4 Denver Pioneers
The Minnesota Gophers split with the Denver Pioneers at Mariucci Arena this weekend. On Friday night, Minnesota Wild draft pick and Denver Pioneer forward Jason Zucker scored the game winner in the 3rd period to push Denver to a 2-1 victory. Erik Haula scored for the Minnesota Gophers (another Wild draft pick). On Hockey Day Minnesota, or Saturday, the Minnesota Gophers came out flying and destroyed the Denver Pioneers 7-3. Seven different Gophers scored in the game. It was a great game to watch as the Gophers were scoring at will. The Gophers will travel to Wisconsin to take on the Badgers on February 18th and 19th.
