2009 Recruiting Class has Been Very Disapointing

The Minnesota Golden Gophers came into the 2009 College Basketball season with one of the most promising teams in the Gophers history. They returned each significant contributor from the year before, whose team went to the NCAA tournament, and the Gophers were bringing in the best recruiting class in years that included Royce White, Trevor Mbakwe, Rodney Williams, and Justin Cobbs. White, a top 30 recruit, has yet to wear a Gophers uniform after the Mall of America incident and he allegedly stole lab tops from a dorm room. Trevor Mbakwe was suspended for the 2009 season because he allegedly sexually harassed a woman in Miami in April of 2009. Sources have indicated that Mbawke is seeking to transfer from the U. Rodney Williams got off to a terrific start, but struggled mightily at the end of the season. Justin Cobbs was not very good and is looking to transfer. The once promising Gophers seem to be heading for a downfall.
