Before this Homecoming weekend, the Gophers were 4-0. Yes, they hadn't played the best teams, but 4-0 is still something to be proud of. After a sad loss to the Hawkeyes, now the Gophers are 4-1. Take a peek below to see the standings of each Gopher game this season.

I got a chance to make it to the San Jose State vs. Minnesota Gophers game on Saturday. What a game! The Gophers creamed San Jose State with a 43-24 game. After that win, the Gophers are now 4 and 0!
It was awesome to be in on the Gopher stadium while my boys were in action. I even snapped this pic of TCF Bank before all the crowds were there. I got to Dinkytown at 8 AM to start the tailgating fun.
Everyone needs to appreciate this fall weather and get to a Gopher football game!
Minnesota Gophers vs. Western Illinois this Saturday Sept 14th at TCF Bank Stadium (THE BANK) - kick off is set for 11am and we need to fill the stadium with Maroon and Gold. Gopher Football Ticket prices are CHEAP for this game and if you need another reason to go - how about this fun fact?
Gophers have combined to score 95 points (51 against UNLV and 44 at New MexicoState) in their first two games
this season! High Scoring games are ALWAYS fun!
The Minnesota Gophers football team appears to be firing on all cylinders to start the 2013 season. The Gophers beat New Mexico State in New Mexico on Saturday 44-21. Many Gopher fans remember when the New Mexico State Aggies upset the Gophers 2 seasons ago - well if the Gophers were playing with a chip on their shoulder, I hope they play that way all season long! It was the second week in a row that the Gophers had a pair of return touchdowns and our Gopher running backs were playing physical, just the way I like em! Hey, Gopher fans - we are UNDEFEATED - Ha! Go Gophers!
TCF Stadium was too crazy for the Gopher UNLV game! Did you make it to the game? The Gophers gave it their all. The season opener went off without a hitch and the Gophers won 51-23. The most memorable moment of the game was when Minnesota used a 98-yard kickoff return and a 51-yard return of a blocked field goal during the third quarter. This helped them get to a 51-23 victory at TCF Bank Stadium. And we couldn't be more thrilled with the win.
However, the statistics tell a much closer story. So let me give them to you. The Rebels outgained Minnesota 419-320 and gained 21 first downs to 17 by the Gophers. However, our Gophers balanced out the differences by racking up 303 yards in returns.
Will the rest of the 2013 season be as competitive? The only way you'll know is if you get to a game! Remember, the UNLV game was a non-conference game. Did you make it to the first game of the season? The best way to be a fan is to get to games.
