Gophers vs UNLV 2013 Season Opener Game Review

TCF Stadium was too crazy for the Gopher UNLV game! Did you make it to the game? The Gophers gave it their all. The season opener went off without a hitch and the Gophers won 51-23. The most memorable moment of the game was when Minnesota used a 98-yard kickoff return and a 51-yard return of a blocked field goal during the third quarter. This helped them get to a 51-23 victory at TCF Bank Stadium. And we couldn't be more thrilled with the win.

However, the statistics tell a much closer story. So let me give them to you. The Rebels outgained Minnesota 419-320 and gained 21 first downs to 17 by the Gophers. However, our Gophers balanced out the differences by racking up 303 yards in returns.

Will the rest of the 2013 season be as competitive? The only way you'll know is if you get to a game! Remember, the UNLV game was a non-conference game. Did you make it to the first game of the season? The best way to be a fan is to get to games.
