Tim Brewster Fired; Jeff Horton Named Interim Coach
Many Minnesota Gopher fans felt it was coming. Saturday's loss made it official: Tim Brewster was fired as the Minnesota Gopher head coach. Brewster came in with big aspirations claiming Big Ten Titles and Rose Bowl appearances. He went 15-30 in 4 seasons and 6-21 in the Big Ten. Losses to South Dakota and Northern Illinois at home were essentially the tipping point. Co-Offensive Coordinator Jeff Horton will take over coaching duties until the end of the 2010-2011 season. More analysis to follow on possible new head coaches.

It was only 14-9 going into halftime, but Wisconsin used a 27 point second half to break the game open. 21 points were unanswered as the Badgers built a 35-9 lead.
