The Minnesota Gophers hockey team will take on the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks this weekend at Mariucci Arena. The Mavericks are an up and coming team with a coaching staff with Minnesota roots. Head coach Dean Blais played for the Gophers from 1970 to 1973. Assistant coaches Mike Guentzel and Mike Hastings are both former Gopher assistants.The football team will travel to West Lafayette, Indiana to take on the Purdue Boilermakers. The team is now 1-5 and desperately needs a victory. Purdue is 3-2 and coming off of a 20-17 victory over Northwestern. For Gophers tickets, check out Ticket King!
