The Minnesota Gophers Men's hockey team is getting hot at the right time. The team swept the Michigan Tech Huskies over the weekend, with two 5-2 victories. On Friday night, freshman Nick Bjugstad scored two goals, while Taylor Matson, Nick Larson, and Jacop Cepis each had one. On Saturday night, Mark Alt, Jacob Cepis, Erik Haula each had a goal and Jake Hansen added two to defeat the Huskies 5-2. Kent Patterson played great in net for the Gophers. The Minnesota Gophers are now 15-12-5 on the season and in 5th place of the WCHA. They will travel to Bemidji State this weekend, where another 4 points would solidify the 5th position.
