The Minnesota Gophers defeated the Wofford Terriers 69-55 in their season debut on Friday night. Center Ralph Sampson III scored 20 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and blocked 3 shots. Trevor Mbakwe scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Fellow center Colton Iverson had 8 points and 9 rebounds. It was a nice win for their season opening game. Unfortunately one of the top playmakers Devoe Joseph remains suspended from the team and hopefully he will return soon.
